About Parkers
Parker’s of Leicester first started out in business over 100 years ago when founder Billy Parker opened his first
butcher’s shop, W&J Parker, in Leicester. The family then moved into farming and farms over 12,000 acres
in Leicestershire and other counties.
Parker’s historically sold land to house-builders, but in 2016, Parker Strategic Land was formed to help shape the direction of future developments and meet the needs of local communities by creating places to be proud of.
The family company has a track record in bringing forward developments across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire, Norfolk, Essex, Derbyshire, Kent, Bedfordshire and Gloucestershire. Parker Strategic Land work as a master developer, in partnership with local stakeholders to create quality schemes.

Our work
For many years the family and business have been involved in land promotion and development; we’ve developed and promoted areas in and around Leicestershire including Aylestone, Braunstone, Thurnby, Thorpe Astley, Fosse Park, Frolesworth, Market Harborough and Loughborough, as well as in Essex including significant construction projects at Wallasea Island.
The family company owns and promotes a substantial number of sites throughout Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire, Norfolk, Essex, Derbyshire, Kent, Bedfordshire and Gloucestershire ranging from sites of 20 units to over 5000 units; the sites include proposed employment, retail centres, sports and leisure facilities and retirement homes.
